Role Description

We are looking for our founding front-end engineer to take ownership of the StepSecurity App portal (https://app.stepsecurity.io). This is a high-impact role as your contributions will be used by thousands of developers from reputed organizations globally As the founding UI engineer, you will set the standard for UI best practices and own engineering processes for the StepSecurity App portal. You will closely monitor the web app used in production and take corrective actions as necessary. You will partner closely with the UX designer and other engineers to deliver a world class web experience to StepSecurity customers. This is a full-time remote position based out of India.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX designers and engineers to develop and implement frontend features
• Maintain a high-quality bar for foundational experiences
• Deliver experimental features incrementally in quick iterations
• Employ CI/CD and automated testing to ensure product reliability
• Strike balance between foundational features that require thorough testing vs experimental features that require quick turnaround time
• Instrument web app to track user behavior through automation
• Be the go to person all things Frontend

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise front-end development experience
• Hands-on experience with React.js, next.js, and Typescript
• Deep understanding of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
• Experience in translating design prototypes into live UI features
• Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills
• Driven, self-motivated, and creative-thinker always on the lookout for ways to improve or enhance current state

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic familiarity with prototyping tool like Figma
• Basic familiarity with UX best practices and design techniques
• Frontend experience with a high-scale B2B SaaS
• Experience working in a startup or high-impact, outcome-driven environment
