Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Web Developer with a strong background in implementing technical marketing tools and platforms to support our clients. This role is critical in ensuring that our clients’ web infrastructure, analytics, and integrations are seamlessly set up and maintained. The ideal candidate has a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to client success.
Key Responsibilities
Call Tracking & Analytics
- Configure CallRail phone number pools and implement dynamic number insertion on WordPress websites.
- Regularly audit call tracking setups to ensure accurate attribution and reporting.
Tag Management & Conversion Tracking
- Utilize Google Tag Manager (GTM) to set up and refine conversion tracking, event tracking, and custom triggers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and test tracking pixels from various ad platforms, including Google Ads.
Website & CMS Integrations
- Install and manage tracking codes, plugins, and scripts on WordPress sites without disrupting site performance or user experience.
- Troubleshoot code conflicts and performance issues to maintain optimal site health.
Hosting & DNS Configuration
- Manage hosting environments, preferably WP Engine, to ensure site stability and scalability.
- Configure DNS settings, CNAME records, and other relevant domain integrations to maintain seamless operation.
Google Platform Connectivity
- Expertly integrate Google platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Ads to align with marketing strategies.
- Set up and maintain Google Business Profiles, resolve duplicate listings, and handle suspensions as needed.
Documentation & Training
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including implementation guides and technical notes.
- Train internal teams and clients on best practices for managing web and analytics tools.
Qualifications & Experience
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CallRail setup and management.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Tag Manager and other tracking tools.
- Expertise in WordPress backend, including plugins and code implementation.
- Hands-on experience with hosting environments (preferably WP Engine) and DNS configurations.
- Strong understanding of Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, and Google Business Profiles.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a technical web development or digital marketing role.
Additional Skills:
- Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications (Preferred): Google Analytics Certification, Google Ads Certification, or related credentials.
