What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a talented Jr. Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at equipifi. You will be reporting to the Director of Engineering. You will have experience in collaborating with developers and architects to deliver quality products. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure delivery of features and products that maintain a high degree of quality and reliability. You will work with the team to craft the quality assurance engineering discipline into our SDLC process. You will be responsible for the quality of features in our SDLC using both automated test suites and manual testing for critical backend and frontend services. You’re knowledgeable when it comes to creating performance and failure mode testing and scripting routine tasks. You own authoring and executing test plans and test cases. You are adept at facilitating the tracking of bugs and enhancements via JIRA and applicable tools.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or related field, or have a proven career track record of working on complex solutions showing that an equivalent or higher level of knowledge is attained in lieu of a degree

• 2+ years of experience in software development and testing

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or similar programming languages

• High-level understanding of microservice architecture and supporting testing strategies

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tooling

• High-level understanding of web protocols and security layers

• High-level understanding of AI tool usage in automation testing

• Familiarity with end-to-end testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium

• Familiarity executing test plans/cases and performing manual testing

• Familiarity with GitHub or other source code management tooling
