Through our software platform, Cloverpop (www.cloverpop.com), we bring together the art and science of decision making by providing enterprise customers with the ability to automate, collaborate, track, and learn from decisions.Role Description:As the Director of Finance and Operations, you will play an integral role within the organization, establishing and leading the finance function and scaling up critical operations across the company including HR and Strategic Planning. You will work closely with executive leadership, the board of directors, and investors.Your Impact:You will found our finance and operations functions. The processes and reporting capabilities you establish will be critical to strategic planning, decision-making, and realization of our long-term vision. Your capabilities will help shape our go-to-market strategy, ways of working and talent strategy.Responsibilities:Strategic:- Advise CEO on strategy development, capital deployment, and operational risk- Represent Finance, HR and Operations on the leadership team- Own budgeting, financial planning and long-range strategic modeling- Partner with CEO on investor relations and board reporting- Coordinate and review monthly, quarterly and annual performance reportingFinance & Accounting:- Direct accounting operations across GL, AR, AP, payroll and reporting- Develop accounting policies; ensure GAAP compliance- Own budgeting, forecasting and annual audits- Oversee accounting and tax policy; contract-to-invoice processes; insurance compliance- Oversee full-time and contracted personnel (bookkeeper, insurance, tax advisor, etc.)- Manage equity/options issuances via CartaCommercial:- Participate in contract pricing, negotiations and commercial decisions- Partner with Commercial and Product on pricing strategy for offerings- Ensure MSAs and related agreements are current- Translate forecasts to account plans with Sales and Decision Success- Drive gross margins via effective COGS management; oversee bookings and ARR- Manage and execute commissions with leadership; advise on partnershipsHR:- Oversee HR policy, compensation and recruiting strategy- Establish compensation strategy, levels and pay bands- Manage hiring approvals and support hiring managers- Establish onboarding, performance reviews, engagement monitoring and exit processes- Participate in personnel matters; recruit HR lead when appropriateSkills and Qualifications:- Accounting designation and/or Master’s in Accounting, Finance or Business- 5–7+ years progressively responsible financial management experience- Start-up experience strongly preferred; SaaS/Analytics/AI a plus- Strong problem solving and recommendation development- Excellent communication skills with leadership, investors and customers- Deep solution understanding of product value driversBenefits:- Competitive Salary- Equity Stock Options- Unlimited PTO- Remote work OK- Health insurance (vision and dental) and 401K
